Presidents Message 2015
President’s Message
We are back as your Co-Presidents for 2015 after finding that the co-president system worked very well in 2014.
Congratulations
to St. Marys Peewee D, Listowel Bantam C, Exeter Senior AA and
Kincardine Senior B for winning their respective 2014 OBA Championships,
as well as St. Marys Mosquito D for finishing the season as OBA
Finalists.
The WOBA continues to transform and rebuild. The first thing one will notice is our new website at www.wobabaseball.ca The second thing is a new local. Welcome to Walkerton Minor Baseball, we wish you success as you grow the sport of baseball in your community. Listowel will be entering teams in ICBA for additional league games. Mitchell and Exeter will be doing the same but in LDBA. Stratford Peewees and Lucan-Ilderton Athletics’ Rookie and Mosquito teams will be playing in WOBA. We welcome these teams and wish them an enjoyable season.
WOBA and LDBA will be working together to develop a Regional Council out of the ashes of the OBA Small Centre Committee but not as an OBA Committee. As always, we expect ZERO TOLERENCE on all diamonds throughout the Association. Coaches, parents and fans alike, let’s continue to encourage and support our players and umpires in helping them develop their confidence and improve their skills so that they can have fun every time they are at a ball park this summer.
