Badger Baseball Spring Trip 2016
Opportunity for WOBA Bantam and Midget age players (1998-2002 birth years) to take part in annual trip to Florida over March Break, March 11th-20th. This year’s trip agenda includes approximately 8-10
games in Cocoa Beach Florida, a trip to a MLB Spring Training game and a
college game.
The players will leave Friday March 11th from London at approximately 6:00pm and will return home to London at approximately 11:00am on Sunday March 20th. The cost of the trip will be $1500.00 cdn. This will cover hotels, transportation, equipment, umpires, coaches, diamond costs, 3-meals a day while in Cocoa Beach, the MLB game and the College game. The only extra money the players will incur will be meal money to and from Florida, spending money at the MLB game and college game.
This year we will be taking a Varsity and Junior Varsity team. The players for the Badger Varsity team will be for the 1998, 1999 & 2000 ages and the Badger Junior Varsity will be for the 2001 & 2002 age groups. If there are spaces available after these selections then we will go to quality players outside the association. Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams will carry 20 players each along with 6-Badger coaches. Each player will get to play in every game.
We will be traveling throughout our trip on a Coach Canada highway bus thus giving us a little more comfort, safety and a chance to let all the boys mingle and get to know each other. The bus is equipped with a DVD system and a washroom.
If interested in joining the spring trip please contact Mike Lumley with an e-mail RSVP by Sunday November 15th and a $150.00 non-refundable deposit by Sunday December 6th. The $1350.00 balance is due by Sunday January 31st.
NOTE: All players must carry and present proof of citizenship and medical insurance.
