Game/tournament Fees, Tournament Weekend, WOBA Championship Tournaments (Western Ontario Baseball Association)

PrintGame/tournament Fees

  • Fees are set and can be found in the WOBA rule book, Appendix 3 displays fees for round robin format.  If tournament is a double elimination format then a per game fee plus an administration fee may be set.
  • There are two methods to ensure that you receive payment for the games played.

a)     An e-transfer prearranged with a team or their local association.

b)     A signed cheque.

  • It is recommended that teams provide their method of payment prior to their first game, and you may prohibited a team from playing in the tournament if no form of payment is provided.
  • If a team shows up without a cheque, a Convenor may permit play if the team pays cash in advance of each game.
  • If a blank cheque is provided, it should be filled out jointly; both Convenor and coach present. This can be done prior to or immediately after their last game.

Be adamant that teams must pay to play.
Avoid unnecessary frustration that will be spent trying to collect fees in the weeks thereafter.

If by chance a team leaves the park without paying, begin by contacting the team's coach as well as the Centre's President and/or WOBA Rep.

If a fine was imposed contact and inform the team coach as well as the Centre's WOBA Rep with details.

The WOBA secretary should be notified of all outstanding fees and fines as of September 1st.
This will be brought to the attention of the WOBA Board of Directors at the September meeting.
