Injury Reporting
This LINK directs you to Baseball Ontario's Insurance information page. Any injury sustained by a player, coach or umpire should be reported within 30 days. A file will be created and held open for a period of 1 year in the event issues arise as a result of the injury. Injuries to the face or jaw may not show any significant harm at first, however can develop into serious issues weeks or months thereafter. Parents are urged to heed on the side of caution and report all injuries sustained to their child during practices and games to Baseball Ontario's insurance program.
Risk Management Documents
Link to Baseball Ontario's risk management information. The human body normally cools itself by sweating, but in extreme heat and humidity that's not enough. Perspiration doesn't evaporate easily on hot, humid days, and that means the body must work harder to maintain a normal temperature. When thunder roars, GO INDOORS! Baseball Ontario follows Environment Canada guidelines with respect to severe weather and lightning safety.
Respect in sport
Coach, leader and parent on-line programs. Easy to use online training enables sport and community organizations to create a safer, more ethical environment by providing essential information to each organization’s critical stakeholders.
