President’s Message
Welcome to the start of a new decade in baseball. We are looking forward to another successful era of baseball in the WOBA.
Despite preseason setbacks and modifications in the preparation for our league play, we continue to plan, continue to prepare and continue to evolve so that we will be ready to go. The executive of WOBA are prepared to provide support to their local associations even if a baseball season is shorter than usual. We feel that if the skies clear and players can play, a new year of great experiences and memorable involvement lay ahead for all.
The WOBA and its local associations provide multiple opportunities to its players, parents and volunteers. Be it a local game or tournament or organizational event we ask that people consider participating to help in different roles and say “yes” to lending a hand or volunteering time. The future success of WOBA and the local associations depends on this. When our current health crisis is deemed safe, our local associations will require a mountain of assistance. That is where volunteers like YOU can make a difference.
Without the umpires, coaches and volunteers we do not have the WOBA league. We would not have a place for our youth to come out and play baseball and have fun doing so. We are committed to provide a program, even if it is a shortened program under the guidance of provincial and municipal guidelines.
