The following is important information pertaining to injured Players, Coaches and Umpires
If an insured individual sustains an injury it must be documented and reported to the OBA within 30 days. Information forms and procedure for reporting are posted on the OBA website under Safe Sports >Risk Management tab. LINK
It is recommended that any injury to the face, jaw or head regardless of how insignificant it may seem, should be reported. Some dental issues arise weeks or months afterwards. If not timely reported to the OBA, within the 30 day window, the individual has no recourse thereafter.
If you are not providing first aid supplies or ice packs at your venue please advise all participating teams.
Ensure an EAP (Emergency Action Plan) is posted at each venue. Some Convenors include and attach a digital version of their EAP to the tournament package distributed to teams.
